how do you become top contributer?

Look at me. All these points and no area of expertise. Strange, huh?  But that is what being a TC is all about, getting Best Answers in a certain category enough that you qualify. It's pretty cool and I think has brought a lot of momentum to this forum.

im not sure and im focusing on becoming a top contributor too.

I think you have to answer a lot of questions and get best answers in the same catagory

The Top Contributor Badge is awarded for high contributions in a single category. You can have up to three categories. The exact qualifications are kept secret but rumors indicate that it is a minimum of 10% best answers and about 40-50 individual answers in a single category in a month. It is difficult to figure out where you stand since there are no statistics. You must tabulate all your answers to figure the best answer percentage in each category.

you have to get best answer a certain amount of times in one category. but you can loose your 'top contributer' title at any time.
