Then Rijkaard coached Sparta Rotterdam from 2001 to 2002, then after a year’s break he got himself a spot at Camp Nou and became the official coach of Barcelona FC in 2003.
His spell at Camp Nou has been nothing short of amazing and he will always be remembered as a Barcelona legend. Though after five years he did ultimately make another move to Galatasaray in 2009 and is still their coach.
Frank Rijkaard had the honour of giving Barcelona FC their second ever Champions League trophy in 2006 and this Dutch is the man responsible of taking Barcelona to where they are right now.
Frank Rijkaard also gave Barcelona their La Liga win in the 2004-05 and the 2005-06 season which was really amazing as they had not won any league titles for a while. He even won numerous coaching awards including IFFHS World’s best coach award in 2006.
The tactics used by this Dutch manager also signal a special style that Rijkaard had which was to play football with style. Also, this manager was known to have a short temper during his football playing days but as a manager, he was always one of the most
stable people in the squad.

7. Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti is the 51 year old Italian football manager. He started his football career in 1976 with Parma and after fifty five appearances as a midfielder including thirteen goals, made a move to Roma in 1979 where he stayed for the next eight years.
In Roma, he gave 171 appearances with 12 goals. He made his last move in 1987 to AC Milan where he stayed for the next five years. He scored 10 goals from 112 appearances for Milan before retiring from football in 1992.
He was also a part of the Italian national team from 1981 to 1991 and made seventeen appearances in the process with one goal.
He started his management career in 1995 with Reggiana and after a year moved to Juventus for another two-year spell.
He made a move to Milan in 2001 and stayed there for the next eight years. He became a famous figure there. He then made a move to Chelsea in the English Premier League in 2009 and has been an integral part of the Blues ever since.
Carlo Ancelotti is one of only six people that have won the European cup both as a manager and as a player. In his first season with the Blues, he gave them the English Premier League title and the Cup double win.
He is also the second non-British manager to have won the cup double, with the other being the French Arsene Wenger.
Also, when Carlo Ancelotti came to Chelsea he had a set pay of nine million dollars per year which made him the highest paid football coach in the world. There are also confirmed reports that he will like to stay as the Chelsea’s manager for the next ten
years but before he retires, he also wants to return to Italy and manage Roma.
Another thing on his wish list is that he wants to manage Italy’s national team, or even the Three Lions.
