  1. In the mens singles I think these players will do really well:

Rafael Nadal - OF COURSE! He's the new world number one, and he just won the Olympic gold! He'll come in with full confidence! And his hard court game's improved SO much! He's one of the major contenders.

Novak Djokovic - He's one of the strongest hard court players today. His serve's great and he has a brilliant chance to win it.

Roger Federer - I STILL think he'll do well. He won the doubles gold at the Olympics, and he'll probably HATE it if he loses more points. He'll give it everything he's got!

Andy Murray - He just won a major title by beating Djokovic. His hard court game's really good. He has a good chance!!

Fernando Gonzalez - He made it to the Olympic finals! He's also ranked well, I think he has a chance.

In the women's singles, I'm predicting these players to do well:

The William sisters - They're playing SO well, they won the doubles gold and its their home Slam!

Dinara Safina - She's in super form, and she'll go really far in the US Open.

Ana Ivanovic - She's the world number one, and she's definitely do great this year!

Jelena Jankovic - I love her game! She's one of the contenders for sure.

Elena Dementieva - She's the Olympic gold winner. She has a great chance.

  2. atp

    1.  nadal

    2.  federer

    3.  djokovic

    4. murray

    5.  blake

    wta

    1.  serena

    2.  venus

    3.  safina

    4.  radwanska

    5.  wozniaki

  3. ATP-

    1. Novak Djokovic- He won the last hard court slam in the begining of the year ( The Aussie) He most likley won't have to play Rafa unless they both make the finals since he reached #1. And he reached finals last year.

    2. Roger Federer- People think he's done with but he still is a consistant threat. He Also won this last yearr.

    3. James Blake- Shocker I'd say this right! He has the confidence from beating Fed in the olympics and always does well in NY.

    4. Rafa Nadal- Rarley does well in Ny but it might be different after his wins in France, England, and Beijing!

    5. Andy Roddick- Hello he's American!

    WTA-

Ana Ivanovic. There is no Sharapova in her way and hasn't won a torney in a while.

Svetlana Kuznetsova- She is such an underdog but i cant understand why! She has won this in 04 and made it to the final in 07. Plus theres no Justine in her way

Elena Dementieva- She just needs to win a Slam. Made it to the final in 04 but lost to Kuzy. Also she just won Bejing!

Dinara Safina- She is playing amazing latley! She won to tourneys in a row before Beijing where she made the final!

Jelena Jankovic- She needs to prove herself as being a good #1. She NEEDS to at least make it to the finals to let people take her seriously

The womens is so wide open. I think that at least 5 others could win!

  4. Men:

1.Djokovic- In great form for the rest of the fall, and olympic bronze. I'm expecting him to do well.

    2. Federer- Althought an "obviously rough" year. Fed is 4-time defending champ at Flushing Meadows, but no lock. I think he will feel comfortable on Flushings quick surface.

    3. Nadal - The DecoTurf at Flushing has not been Nadal's best surface, and has not been past a quarterfinal here. Still not the best hardcourter in the draw, I'm puttin him in the semi's .

    4. Roddick- American favorite Andy Roddick made the final in '06, and will use his nasty serve to get him to the semi's.

    5. James Blake- Look for James to have a good tournament this year, has had good results before on his best surface here. And coming off a surprising olympic preformance, he has the confidence to make it far.

    As for the women.

Well, really who watches the women anymore?

(p.s. lets not get too carried away with nadal here. yes he's won 2 hard court tourneys this year, but come on people)

  5. ATP

    1. Nadal

    2. Djokovic

    3. Federer

    4. Del Potro

    5. Murray

    WTA

    1. Venus

    2. Serena

    3. Safina

    4. Ivanovic

    5. Kuznetsova

  6. Ok mine are as follows:

    -Men's Singles-

    1. Rafael Nadal

    2. Roger Federer

    3. Novak Djokovik

    4. Andy Murray

    5. Fernando Gonzalez

    -Women's Singles-

    1. Ana Ivanovic

    2. Venus Williams

    3. Serena Williams

    4. Maria Sharapova

    5. Jelena Jankovic

  7. It's been a largely unpredictable year especially on the women's' side but here goes.

    ATP.-

    1. Rafael Nadal.- Is having an unbelievable year and, by winning     Wimbledon and the Olympics, has shown that he is no longer just a claycourter. Right now, he's THE man on form.

    2. Novak Djokovic.- He's won a Major this year on hard-courts already and is confident. He's also one of few who can trouble both Federer and Nadal.

    3. Roger Federer.- His year has not been great so far but if he is on form he will be very tough to beat. Having the experience of having won there four times already will help too.

    4. Andy Murray.- He has a tricky, awkward game and has been on good form recently.

    5. Juan Martin del Potro.- A darkhorse but, with his confidence being high, I would give him a better shot than many higher ranked players.

    WTA Tour.-

    1. Ana Ivanovic.- Is confident and has been on good form for most of the year.

    2. Maria Sharapova.- A bit shaky lately but always confident and always tough.

    3. Venus Williams.- May not have had a particularly consistent season but won Wimbledon and is always good on a fast surface.

    4. Jelena Jankovic.- Has flirted with the #1 ranking and has routinely been good in the Slams. If things go her way, could finally pick up a Major.

    5. Serena Williams.- Has not had a great year so far but, if she finds her form, could do a lot of damage.

  8. Ur asking for too many.

The women's game is weak, not worth bothering about.

The men's, one of two will win it, Djokovic or Nadal.  Nobody else.
