Nail Yakupov (Edmonton Oilers)
Nail Yakupov, a Russian professional ice hockey player, was first overall pick of the 2012 National Hockey League (NHL) Draft when he was selected in the first round by Edmonton Oilers on 23rd June 2012.
The 19-year-old forward who celebrated his birthday earlier this month, has been explosive while he was playing for Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) as he went on to score 100+ points in the very first season.
He was also the Silver Medallist with Team Russia in 2012 World Junior Championship and a Bronze in Under-18 World Junior Championship where he scored hat-trick in last match.
Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida Panthers)
Jonathan Huberdeau is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently a prospect of Florida Panthers, who had selected him 3rd overall in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft.
The 19-year-old left winger is currently playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for Saint John Sea Dogs and also captain of the team. He is a very high scoring player as he has scored 88 goals, 124 assists and 212 total points in 165 games.
Tyler Toffoli (Los Angeles Kings)
Tyler Toffoli, a Canadian international player, who is currently playing Ottawa 67’s in the OHL, is a top prospect from Los Angeles Kings in the NHL as he was selected in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the team, when they selected him 47th
overall.
He has also had a season with Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League (AHL) but most of his scoring has been in the OHL for Ottawa where he has scored 165 goals, 171 assists and 336 total points in 255 games.
Mikael Granlund (Minnesota Wild)
First round pick of the Minnesota Wild, in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Mikael Granlund is a Finnish international ice hockey player who can be regarded as one of the top upcoming players and prospects.
Currently playing only in his native country, 20-year-old Granlund has represented Finland in numerous international junior events and has won many laurels and medals for his side.
He could be expected to become a great player once he joins Wilds in the NHL.
Alex Galchenyuk (Montreal Canadiens)
Among the top three picks of the 2012 NHL Draft, Russia-American ice hockey player Alex Galchenyuk was selected third overall in the first round by Montreal Canadiens.
18-year-old was expected to be picked among the top two but his injury last season gave him a huge set back as he has been playing for the Sarnia Sting in the OHL. He was phenomenal in 2010-2011 season when he scored 83 points in 68 games and can expected
to become a great player in future.
