Top guns of snooker ready for meet at Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre: 2012-13 Premier League Snooker
Leading potters from around the world will gather at the Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre to launch the 2012-13 Premier League Snooker. The event will be sponsored as usual by PartyPoker.com featuring the total prize money of £210,000. The Premier League Snooker
event always brings fireworks for the game lovers who come to watch their favourite players in action.
Snooker fans from around the world will once again watch the likes of four-time World Snooker Champion John Higgins, the 2012 Haikou World Open winner Mark Allen, the 2011 UK Championship winner Judd Trump, the former champ and 2011 Brazil Masters winner
Shaun Murphy and the World Number one and 2011 Shanghai Masters winner Mark Selby.
The line up of the event also include the former champ and 2012 China Open winner Peter Ebdon, the 2012 Masters snooker event winner Neil Robertson, the 2011-12 Players Tour Championship (PTC) Grand Finals winner Stephen Lee, the 2011 Australian Goldfields
Open winner Stuart Bingham and the 2012 Welsh Open winner, China’s Ding Junhui.
The venue manager, Lee Carnwell is thrilled to have the event commencing from Leisure Centre. He is aiming to make the event one of the best snooker battles of the world.
Speaking to the local media, Carnwell said, “Last year's event was a huge success and the evening sold out fairly quickly. So we are delighted to be welcoming some of the biggest stars in snooker back to the area, and hopefully they will be rewarded with
another cracking atmosphere and a packed house.”
The World Snooker Chairman, Barry Hearn added, “This has always been about taking top-class snooker around the country and giving fans who perhaps don't live near one of the major tournaments the chance to see the biggest names in the game.”
Followers of the former ten-time Premier League Snooker event winner, Ronnie O’Sullivan will be disappointed this year because the Rocket is not participating in the event as he has not signed the recent season’s contract with the World Professional Billiards
and Snooker Association (WPBSA). This is indeed a real emotional hitch for O’Sullivan fans because the tournament will seem boring without him around.
