Top places to visit in France?

How long do you think it would take to see everything worth seeing? And what are the things i "must" see and things i "should" see?

Are the lines for entrance to these places long? Are the tickets expensive? Is there pre-booking for tickets? What time of day should we go?

Also, how much money should I take?

  1. TOP PLACES:

    Eiffel tower;Sacred core;church of Notre Dame and the museum;Moulin Rouge,Museum de louvre;Champs Elysees;Grand Pais;Place de la Concorde:Museu National history Natural;Palais  de Chaillot;Musee d orsay.

I think one week or more...Eiffel tower is common for tourist attraction,so you must wait for one hour to go up to the tower.

    Tickets are not so expensive.

I think they are open everyday....but museums are open 9:30 am unti 4 pm.

  2. Karen P is right, I would also add Le Galeries Lafayette to that list.

    Check it out.... http://www.galeries-lafayette-paris.com/

    a ten storey department store...

  3. if you go to france you HAVE to see the eiffel tower. its like common sense. like if you visit new york you have to see the statue of liberty.

  4. There are many variables here. How much money should you take- well, that depends. How long will you be staying, will you be camping, or staying in cheap hotels, or perhaps not-so-cheap hotels? Will you be eating out three times a day or sometimes attempting to eat on the cheap? Do you intend to go on wild shopping sprees or are you mostly spending money on visiting monuments and museums?

France has enough to offer that you could spend a lifetime visiting and not have seen "everything worth seeing". However, some of the most common destinations in France include Paris, Provence and the Riviera ("Côte d'Azur" in French), the Loire Valley châteaux (castles), etc. Lines for some popular tourist sites, including but not limited to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Versailles, etc can indeed be long. However, if you can manage to travel during the spring or fall, they're not as insanely long as they are during the peak tourist season, which of course is summer.

I sincerely hope you enjoy your trip if you go.
