  1. The whole country!

Bottom of the South Island - Top of the North Island.

    Everything in between.

  2. Well their isn't anything you should miss out on basically. The country is awesome as are the people - I actually went over, stayed over a year,  met a maori got engaged and I'm emigrating. You will fall in love with NZ and the people.  It is just so nice to walk down the street and people you don't know saying Kia Ora (hello). Have a fab timexx

  3. Go to Taupo in the middle of the north island and see the lake and the mountains and craters of the moon. The best trout fishing in the southern hemisphere.   Have a pint at mulligans and drive to the mountains even if your not skiing, just for the view.  Must see Huka falls and maybe take a jet boat ride on Huka jet or even better is Rapids jet.

If you want to see nz culture then drive 45 mins from Taupo to Rotorua, its SMELLS bad, cause of the sulphur, but has some good sights.  Dont bother with the night life.

Waihiki island 4 hours up from Taupo next to Auckland.

Famous for its vinyards and its laid back atmoshere.

Bay of islands above Auckland for game fishing.

Tauranga 2 hours east of Taupo for the night life and the beaches.

At the bottom of the north island is Wellington a must see city with great night life, cafes and restaurants.

Napier and Gisborne going down the east coast of nz for the stone fruit vinyards ect

Never ben to south island but i no its worth the trip.

  4. I lived in South Island for 3 years and have only just come back to the UK.  Beautiful country with great people - Kiwis are the best!

I'm a bit biased but I would say all of South Island is a must-see.  Do not miss Cape Reinga, the northern-most point of NZ where the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea meet just beneath the Lighthouse... those clashing waves make you realise how insignificant we all are in this great Universe that we live in.

In fact, much of the NZ landscape makes me feel this way ...

  5. The whole of the South Island, from top to bottom. Beautiful! And the far north (Bay of Islands and above). A different world. This is coming from a Kiwi.

  6. Don't forget to go to Rotorua. Great natural springs and lots of natural day spas around - so relaxing!
