The twenty nine year old Russian was ultimately transferred to Arsenal at the start of 2009 for a transfer fee of fifteen million Euros and is now working his charm in the Gunners’ squad.
This player contributed so much in the European endeavour that he was the man of the match in every match except for the one against Spain in the semi-final and made ten assists and scored four goals in that tournament.
He has already displayed some brilliant performances for Arsenal and this includes scoring four goals against the Reds, but Arshavin does not seem to be one of the French manager’s favourite players in the squad as he is usually seen being played off his
original position.
This season the player has already scored six goals and given seven assists. This comes as a bad omen for Gunner fans but it is believed by most that Arshavin still has not given his best performances with them and there are not many hopes of him giving
them in the near future with French manager at the head.
This Russian is still 28 years old and it is believed that he will continue to grow and evolve as a player so he can achieve some titles that he truly deserves.
The player actually told the media once that he wants to play for Barcelona and it is believed the he will be most welcomed at Camp Nou.
Bastian Schweinsteiger
Bastian Schweinsteiger is 26-year-old German player and he is thought to be in the best form of his life right now.
He gave amazing performances in the World Cup this summer and has been known to have unending stamina. The German is a very consistent player and he is leading both the German national team and Bayern Munich to greatness.
Los Blancos has been rumoured to be interested in him for some time now but it is believed that Bayern Munich made it clear to them that the player was not for sale.
Ricardo Kaka
It is true that the 29-year-old Kaka has not been the same ever since he left AC Milan but he still ranks to be one of the best midfielders in the world.
He started playing football shortly after the start of the new millennium and then moved to the ranks of AC Milan in 2003, where he truly became the Kaka we all know and love. Right now, he is a part of the Spanish side Real Madrid and continued to create
havoc for the teams that play against him.
He is also part of the Brazilian national team since 2002 and has made eighty two appearances for them. He is a brilliant player, who has now become a weapon for the Spanish manager to use against the players at Camp Nou.
In 2007, Kaka was also named the Player of the Year as he took AC Milan to the Champions league win.
Xavi Hernandez
The 30-year-old plays as a central Midfielder for the La Liga club, FC Barcelona and is acknowledged the best midfielder in the world!
