Patrick Kluivert:
Patrick Kluivert is another Dutch player and has played for clubs like PSV Eindhoven, Lille, Valencia, Newcastle United, Barcelona, Ajax and AC Milan.
He was part of the golden generation that came from the Ajax Academy. This generation also includes players like Clarence Seedorf, Dennis Bergkamp and Edwin Can der Sar.
He proved to be an instrumental player for Ajax in the 1990s and in Barcelona he made two hundred and fifty five appearances and scored a hundred and twenty goals before moving on to Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
However, the Dutch player did not have a fruitful time with Newcastle United as well as with Lille and Valencia. He had been a key player for the Netherlands National team also as he made seventy nine appearances and scored forty goals for them from 1994-2004.
He then retired from international duty in 2008 and was given the title of FIFA 100 by Brazilian legend Pele.
Miroslav Klose:
Klose is a German player who plays for Bayern Munich and has made his way to the team from clubs like Werder Bremen and Kaiserslautern.
He showcased his world-class striking abilities during the 2002 World Cup where he scored five goals for Germany and made them get a place in the finals.
Miroslav Klose isn't amongst the tallest of strikers out there but he still has some amazing aerial abilities and gives excellent headers. He is a technical player and also an amazing goal-scorer. Miroslav started his big leagues' play with Kaiserslautem
and stayed there for five years before moving to Werder Bremen.
He was a success story at Werder but still moved to Bayern Munich in 2007 and from then on, he has had a few seasons at the top of his form. Recently, his form has dipped a little.
He is the second highest goal-scorer in three World Cups, scoring fourteen goals altogether.
Diego Forlan:
This is one famous Uruguayan who plays for Atletico Madrid and has ventured through clubs like Manchester United, Independiente and Villareal.
He started his career with Independiente and then made a direct call to the Red Devils. But, the player did not have a happy spell with Manchester United and only scored ten goals from his sixty three appearances.
He was ultimately transferred to Villareal where he showcased his Spanish roots by scoring fifty four goals in a hundred and six appearances. Later, Atletico Madrid bought this player to replace Fernando Torres, who moved to Liverpool during the same season.
Diego Forlan has scored sixty nine goals for Atletico Madrid in his hundred and four appearances there so far. He has also become a regular at the Uruguayan National team and got the Golden Ball for his performances in the 2010 World Cup.
Francesco Totti:
Francesco Totti is an Italian striker who plays for AS Roma and is widely believed to be one of the best footballers of his generation.
He has played for Roma all his life and is the current captain of the team and also one of Serie A’s top goal-scorers. Totti has so far scored a hundred and ninety two goals in four hundred and forty appearances for his club.
The player is known for his prolific skills all over the field. Totti also has had a successful career with the Italian National team and is still a vital part of the squad. He had made a major contribution to Italy's win in the 2006 World Cup.
He wanted to be a part of Italy's 2010 World Cup squad and was selected for the job by Marcello Lippi. Even though he did not score any goals in this endeavour, still his contribution to the team along with his creativity was considered important.
