Ferrer will be hungry for the title as he hasn’t won one since 2008 but he was pushed hard in his first round match against Simon Greul. The Spaniard started the year in mediocre form with second round exits in Auckland and the Australian Open, but seems to be building if his Johannesburg semi-final is anything to judge by. You’d expect him to be in the mix at the end of the tournament – and is one of the best chances of winning it.
