La Liga’s 2010-2011 season came to an end with Barcelona winning the Spanish league title. The Spanish league itself has now turned into a two horse league. Rossi started off his career in Serie A with Parma, the young Italian striker who was born in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nilmar-c28044 of the Brazilian national team.
However now as the summer transfer window heats up, so does the speculation surrounding Rossi’s future. The young goal scorer rose to fame at Manchester United where he never really managed to cement down a starting team place under Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson. Eventually he was loaned out to his former club Parma where Rossi netted nine goals in 19 appearances for the Serie A minnows.
Rossi’s development as a player was greatly assisted by his transfer to Villarreal in the summer of 2007 when Manchester United reformed their offensive line up with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Louis-Saha-c22459 being at the forefront of the action. Rossi had fallen down to fourth choice striker in the pecking order due to the presence of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the team as well.
Considering his future, Rossi moved to Spain where he hit gold in Villarreal. Playing alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 in all competitions for Villarreal in the 2010-2011 season.
Rossi’s main abilities include his tendency to drop deep and involve himself in the build up play by linking up with his team’s main playmaker. The Italian goal scorer is also seen as a vastly accomplished finisher proven by his track record in the Europa League last season when he scored 11 goals in 15 Europa League appearances for the Yellow Submariners.
At the moment, Barcelona are spearheading the race to sign Rossi but there are other clubs such as Juventus and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan who are interested in the striker’s services. Rossi has come out recently and stated quite clearly that his dream destination is Barcelona but it remains to be seen whether the Spanish champions will be able to match Villarreal’s asking price or not.
