Top talents in the La Liga summer transfer window – http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Kun Aguero and more (Part 4)
In this part of our featured series on top talents in the La Liga summer transfer window, it is time to turn our sights towards Lassana Diarra at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid, a man who has fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho and might soon be on his way out of Spanish football...
Lassana Diarra
Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid, Diarra has played for some of the biggest clubs in modern football but the French still remains at the centre of controversy. While some point towards his attitude as the main reason for his antics both on and off the pitch, Diarra’s failure to make it big at three of the biggest clubs in football has raised some questions with regard to his capability. However one thing is clear, Diarra thinks too much of himself. Without even half of the talent that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 has, this Frenchman in question has twice the pomp.
Nonetheless, it will be unfair to say that Diarra is not a talented footballer. Not as impressive on the ball as Messi nor as fast with it as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 where his overtly aggressive tackling style did not impress the tasteful Arsene Wenger.
After just playing seven matches for Arsenal in the 2007–2008 season, Diarra was sold off to Portsmouth where he excelled. Portsmouth were battling relegation at that time and they needed a player like Lassana who would add some steel to their midfield department. After impressing in Portsmouth’s colours, Diarra was soon snapped up by Real Madrid in the 2009 January transfer window for 20 million Euros.
Under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325’s arrival at Santiago Bernabéu. Now Diarra is seeking a move away from Real Madrid in order to play more first team football. One thing that works in the Frenchman’s favour is his proven track record in the English Premier League.
Manchester United are already said to be interested in signing Diarra as they do require a defensive midfielder in order to replace the recently released http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 is out in the transfer market looking for a replacement. Whilst Diarra might not have the guile of an Owen Hargreaves like footballer, he will offer Manchester United another option in the midfield region. His tough tackling approach will be appreciated by the Old Trafford faithful. Regardless, It remains to be seen where Diarra’s future lies and whether or not Manchester United invest in this French midfielder.
