Kevin Garnett powered the Boston Celtics to a 104-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls on 3 December, 2010 at the TD Garden, Boston. Garnett had 20 points and clutched a season-high 17 boards and left Chicago’s Joakim Noah marveling if it was wise of him to
call the Celtic-Star “mean” and “ugly” on a radio station.
"Everybody has an opinion," Garnett said, cutting off that line of questioning. "I'm not entertaining, nor addressing nobody's."
Boston Celtics 95 - Indiana Pacers 83
On 28 December, 2010 the Celtics played like true champions as they outplayed the Indiana Pacers 29-16 in the final quarter to steal a 95-83 victory. Garnett added 11 points and clutched 13 boards along with three steals and one block.
Boston Celtics 110 - Utah Jazz 86
Garnett spearheaded the Celtics to register their fifth straight 110-86 win over the Utah Jazz on 21 January, 2011 at the TD Garden arena. Garnett chipped in with 21 points along with three rebounds, three assists, three steal and one block. Shaquille O'Neal
left the game in the first quarter, but Garnett did not let the Celtics down and stood out as a champion.
"It's like a soap opera," the Celtics forward said. "You've got to be ready on this team. You never know who's going to go down."
Boston Celtics 109 - Los Angeles Lakers 96
Despite having a five stitch-cut, Garnett made 18 points and destroyed the Lakers with his 13 rebounds, as the Celtics overcame their long-time rivals Los Angeles Lakers in a 109-96 victory on 30 January, 2011 at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles. This was
indeed a brave effort by the Celtics, especially when Kobe Bryant came up with a flurry of points that slashed the deficit to just four points and more than five minutes were left in the game. The Celtics retaliated with 7-0 blitz to start an 18-9 run and
took the game away.
Boston Celtics 115 - Golden State Warriors 93
Garnett missed his triple-double, as he fell four short in assists and the Celtics started from where they left off before the All-Star break. Since, they comfortably defeated the Golden State Warriors in a 115-93 contest on 22 February, 2011 at the Oracle
Arena, Oakland. Garnett had big stats when he finished the game, as he scored 24 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, one steal and two blocks.
Boston Celtics 115 - Phoenix Suns 103
Garnett scored 28 points and 11 boards to help the Celtics seal the 115-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns and took revenge of the previous loss in Phoenix. This time Garnett had all the answers, as he waited for almost a month to return the favour. Garnett
pushed the Celtics to a 13-point lead as he thumped 12 of his 28 points in the first quarter. In the second half the Celtics led by 29 points, as the Suns failed to gain the control and they dropped the game.
Boston Celtics 96 - New York Knicks 86
The Celtics came out fired up after the half time and set the stage on fire with their furious assault. Garnett made 24 points and 11 rebounds in a highly spirited 96-86 win over the New York Knicks. The reason behind this fuming rally was Celtics’ coach
who used a word in the half-time that was never used before.
According to Kevin Garnett, "Doc thought we were soft. He thought our play was soft, he thought everything we were doing was soft and we weren't the Cs. So we got firm."
Boston Celtics 101 - Detroit Pistons 90
Garnett tallied 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds, one steal and blocked one shot to aid the Celtics defeat the Detroit Pistons 101-90 on 3 April, 2011 at home. During the game Boston lost Shaquille O'Neal once again due to injury, but Garnett never let
the Celtics feel O’Neal’s absence.
