Top ten games of Washington Wizards’ guard John Wall during the 2010-11 regular season – Part 2
December 31st vs. Indiana Pacers
On the last night of the 2010, the Washington Wizards arrived at the Conseco Fieldhouse to face off against the Indiana Pacers. Although Wizards failed to put up an upright performance, however John Wall was an exception yet again. The prolific guard racked up a game-high 25 points, handed out four assists and added some sanity in an otherwise forgettable night.
Wall lifted the momentum in the second half of the game and cut down a huge 15 points deficit. He landed 17 points in the third quarter to set the up the game nicely. However, the Pacers shut him down in the final 12 minutes which resulted in a 95-86 loss for the Wizards.
January 11th vs. Sacramento Kings
Wall landed 22 points and dished out 9 assists to support Nick Young as the Washington Wizards edged out the Sacramento Kings 136-133 in an overtime thriller. Despite of a top scoring performance from the guard Young, the Kings managed to strike back strongly in the fourth quarter and were leading by two points in the dying seconds of the game. Wall came to Washington’s rescue at that point and forced a 126-126 tie at the end of regulation time.
February 16th vs. Orlando Magic
Although the Washington Wizards were comprehensively crushed (101-76) by the Orlando Magic at Amway Center, however Wall managed to put up an upright performance. Up against the big man Dwight Howard, John landed a team-high 27 points on a 10-of-17 shooting from the field.
February 25th vs. Miami Heat
On 25th February, the Wizards arrived at American Airlines Arena to face the red hot Miami Heat. Up against three of the best players and one of the strongest defences in the league, Wall once again showed his brilliance. He wrapped up a double-double with 24 points and 12 assists to haunt the surging Heat.
March 20th vs. New Jersey Nets
The Wizards were playing without Nick Young however John Wall guided them to an electrifying 98-92 victory over the New Jersey Nets. The rookie guard racked up a game-high 26 points and dished out 8 assist as the Washington mounted a vociferous fight back and overcame a 17-point deficit.
John said after an exciting turnaround. "They just kept giving me the ball, and I willed us to the win."
March 23rd vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Up against his most formidable contemporaries Blake Griffin, Wall took his game to another level and produced one of the best performances to spark a thrilling double-overtime victory against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. The 20-year-old guard landed 32 points and handed out 10 assists to power the Wizards to an enthralling 127-119 victory.
