For many years now, great players like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have ruled the world of golf. They still have their place but it is time for some new talent to come ahead and be recognized by the world.
It is the time for the new generation to be crowned as the kings of the game. In recent years, many new players have shown a tremendous amount of talent. The top ranking new talent includes:
Rory McIlroy: Rory McIlroy is the new golfing sensation. He has shown great promise and proven himself time and again. He turned professional in the year 2007, and ever since has been a great joy for the fans.
The young Northern Irish player has already bagged a major. He won the U.S. Open in the year 2011 and has a top-ten finish in the Open Championship and the PGA Championship.
Analysts are of the view that McIlroy is doing great and has the capability to be a great legend such as Tiger Woods.
At this very young age, he has also recently been in the number one spot in the official golf ranking and currently is occupying the number three spot behind Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods.
Rickie Fowler: Till now, Rickie Fowler did not have the same success as the Irish professional golfer, Rory McIlroy. Nonetheless, he is considered one of the emerging talents of the sport. Recently, he has shown great talent and has the capability of achieving

The youngster has the capability of achieving great things. He just needs a breakthrough to prove himself. Fowler has also been part of the Ryder Cup team in the year 2010. That year, he also achieved the honor of being the PGA Rookie of the year.
The American professional has shown some outstanding stuff in the majors. Nonetheless, he still needs to do much more. This kid is going to emerge as a big star as it is inevitable with his great talent.
Matteo Manassero: Matteo Manassero is third in the list of the ranking of new talent. Like Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler the Italian youngster has shown tremendous amount of talent in the past couple of years.
He has already a record to his name, of being the youngest player to bag an event at the European Tour. Currently he is just 19 years old and has already has two European Tour wins.
