Top twelve players who should seek a move away from their clubs – English Premier League (Part 6)
After elaborating on why Darren Gibson and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726’s move away from Arsenal in the summer transfer window
of 2010 along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Cole-c18694’s future away from Liverpool...
Nicklas Bendtner
Arsenal’s striker is a frustrated footballer at the moment and given that belief that footballers are foolish creatures as they are, a frustrated one is a disaster waiting to happen. The 2009-2010 Premier League season was supposed
to be Bendtner’s breakthrough season for Arsenal. The Danish striker was a first choice pick at Arsenal for a large part of the season as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 was bogged down with his usual injury troubles. In the 2009-2010 Premier League campaign, Bendtner made
23 appearances for the Gunners and scored six goals.
This tally made it clear to Arsene Wenger that Bendtner was not a solution to his offensive problems. The Frenchman went out and bought http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 in the 2010 summer transfer window. The Moroccan international failed to live
up to the hype in the 2010-2011 season but Bendtner has already made up his mind about parting ways with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 in arrogance and petulance made it clear near the end of the 2010-2011 season that
his future lay away from the Emirates stadium as he only made 13 league appearances for Wenger’s men
Some Arsenal fans must’ve breathed a sigh of relief at Bendtner’s statement but the Danish striker has been a constant source of entertainment of the neutrals. He has gone from missing a one-on-one chance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the
UEFA Champions League round of sixteen to surprising the Arsenal psychologists with his confidence levels. A summer of change now waits for Bendtner maybe http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 on his ego trips.
Joe Cole
A move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the 2010 summer transfer window was supposed to reinvigorate his career but Joe Cole has failed miserably at Anfield. Either he has been injured or on the bench for the Reds. With the new season beckoning
in a couple of months’ time, maybe Joe Cole should take a step down and join a team which pays respect to his talents.
Admittedly, signing the injury prone Joe will be a risk that a few would like to take. The Englishman is hardly the epitome of endurance and in a league which is as physical as it gets, he will no doubt hope to be included in
England’s squad for the 2012 European Championships. In order to create a place in Capello’s plans, Joe will have to play regularly for an English Premier League club.
That is more than unlikely at Liverpool given the arrival of Luis Suarez in the winter transfer window and the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 from Sunderland in the summer transfer window. Maybe QPR will be a better option for the
former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 winger who was once seen as England’s next big talent.
