Top two things to do in Victoria?

Hi there.

I'm heading over to Vancouver and going over to Victoria for a day. Not sleeping there, but a day trip.

We're already going to the Butchart Gardens, and we only have time for two more activities.

Looking for the BEST(!!!) two things to do there.

Something worth while!

Walk around downtown, around the harbour, there is a place with GREAT HOT DOGS. also if dress for the occasion go drink some tea and if you are there in christmas time go and see the christmas tree decorations at the Empress hotel, go to Chinatown and visit the Parliament it is great inside.

Walk all government street and there eat the great ice creams.. mmm mouthwatering.

head downtown and check out the inner harbour,Parliament Building, have tea at the empress hotel

Spend some time around the pier, downtown.  Walk into the Empress Hotel, enjoy the garden, and if you are dressed for it, make the afternoon formal tea setting in the lobby.

The market and small Artisan shop, further up, and toward the bay are also interesting.  Handcrafts, Galleries, eateries etc.....

If you can have a look at the Royal BC Museum, it's excellent, especially the native culture section. I always sit for 10 minutes in the longhouse, it's like time travel to me. And what the other people said--hang out downtown. It's compact so you can see a lot in a short time, there's some great little stores and lunch places, and it's just a nice place to be and just chill.
