Topamichi to retain form for the Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Nursery
Nottingham will host the Class 5 Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Nursery on Wednesday, 3rd October. Thirteen two-year-old have taken their chances for the mile, two furlong and fifty yard, being the first over which will entitle the winner
to the £2,264 prize money.
One of the most reliant entries in the field today is the Mark H. Tompkins trained, Topamichi. It took him a lost maiden to pick up form, and perform at par with the expectations of the connections. His presence on the track is warmly acknowledged due to
the higher than before prospects for his improvement.
He was the last one to leave the track on 17th July, 2012 in the Irish Stallion Farms E B F / 4Head Maiden Stakes at Yarmouth over seven furlongs. He lost while riding with jockey, Harry Poulton, while clearing the maiden successfully was, Makafeh.
The heavy mile suited him better than the seven furlong soft surface in the career debut. Beat Hollow’s bay gelding out of, Topatori, went past his maiden on 12th September, 2012 in the Irish Stallion Farms E B F Maiden Stakes (Division II) at
Carlisle race course over a mile.
He did not break into a high pace right after leaving the tenth gate, neither was he oblivious of the pace as he did start picking it up in the rear. Racing towards the outside, the two-year-old made some commendable progress when there remained the final
two furlongs to race over. Taking the leadership of the final furlong had him defeating, Tobacco, by two lengths.
The 4 to 1 entry will race with jockey, Phillip Makin, and has drawn the tenth stall to shoot out from.
Another candidate who has failed to post in a success through the three career outings, but has been putting in effort lately just for doing that is the James Given trained, Woody Bay.
The three tries at clearing the maiden ended at a seventh position, and then the next two saw him qualifying as the runner-up.
The transition in the race level might as well work positively for the 5 to 1 entry who will ride with a fourth different jockey today, Frederik Tylicki.
