Bond is New Zealand cricket GOD and my #1 cricketer...I miss him so much : (    BTW Bond had such a great record against Australia - in fact better than his record overall in terms of his average. Not many players can boast this and it is evidence that he rises to the big matches and against the best batsmen .He was ranked # 1 ODI bowler when he left and has one of the best ODI records ever.He makes a lot of difference. With him opening the bowling, he takes early wickets thus forcing the opponent team to destroy very early. And even if he doesn't get that early wicket, he's so economical that batsmen don't score much when he's bowling.SUCH a devastating bowler he was ,he is and he will be.LONG LIVE THE NZ CRICKET GOD!!!

Shane Bond is a shade better than Brett Lee in bowling. Lee is a shade better than Bond in batting. Overall, both are on par. But the staying power of Lee is great.

The problem with Bond is that he is too fragile.  Lee's comparative durability makes him more valuable to his team.

So, Brett Lee and Shohaib Akhtar can bowl close to 160 km/h and Shane bond up to and about 157 km/h. so lee is best

Brett Lee is more consistent compared to the mercurial Shane Bond.

Brett Lee is better than Bond in almost every aspect . But if Bond keeps his fitness than he can give challange to Brett in every aspect of game. Bond is a mind blowing bowler But his fitness is not up to the mark.
