Or so Russia says they can.  Yes the Topol is suppose to be able to redirect in flight to avoid interceptor missles, yet where it the proof either way.  Over history Russia (and the USSR) on several occasions have exaggerated the capabilites of its equipment.  Should this be no different.

The USA is helping Georgia cause they are a young nation that needs guidance.  NATO has asked them to join there ranks which includes 25 other nations besides the USA including a couple former Soviet Republics.  Georgia has a right to regain its territory.  Did they go about it correctly, no.  Did Russia overstep the "peacekeeping" mission, yes.  When does peacekeeping involve invading and occupying a nation and then refusing to leave after you agreed to.  I think maybe NATO should tell Russia get out we'll send some peacekeeping forces in to help Georgia.

As  for 20 nukes hitting the USA.  That would be dumb and only encourge a full response.  American nukes are far more accurate then Russian one's.

Georgia is a pin head country who can not do much for USA. There getting a lot more than they will ever be able to return. There just kissing our asses for protection.We need to stay good allies with Russia,they not only carry half the nuclear weapons in the world,half the oil in the world, and can considerly help us when it comes to sanctions against Iran,s nuclear program which must be stopped at all cost.Iran has been an extremley evil country since the beginning of time.

too bad bart, we will not stop sending humanitarian aid to Georgia regardless of Russia's whining. I'd believe anything the US government said over anything your dictator for life Putin says, though if there was an in between, i'd choose to believe neither in regards to this particular affair. True as that may be and even the top Brass in the Pentagon admit our missile defenses are not designed to stop a massive attack like Russia can launch I would hope that cooler heads would prevail long before Russia launched its SS-18 Satan, Topol missiles, and the US responded with its Trident missiles.
