Tornado Warning!!?

Question

So there is a tornado warning right now in Canadian County Oklahoma. This is where i live!! My husband is not home tonight and i have no where to go!! What do i do???

There may be a watch posted for your area or expected to be posted,  but there is not a warning forecasted.    Warning implies that they already see one.    Warnings are only for the length of the storm.

If you are inside, go to the safe place you picked to protect yourself from glass and other flying objects. The tornado may be approaching your area.

If you are outside, hurry to the basement of a nearby sturdy building or lie flat in a ditch or low-lying area.

If you are in a car or mobile home, get out immediately and head for safety (as above).

After the Tornado Passes...

Watch out for fallen power lines and stay out of the damaged area.

Listen to the radio for information and instructions.

Use a flashlight to inspect your home for damage.

Do not use candles at any time.

donot go any where and stay in the basement of house till the pass on of tornado.

Well, if you live in a house without a cellar, go to the most interior room of the house.  The more walls between you and the outside, the better.  Or you can get in the bathtub with a mattress over you for protection .  

Listen for the tornado sirens, but I know you can't always hear them.  I didn't when I lived in Midwest City.  Keep the TV on and be ready.  If it's a warning and not just a watch, take cover now.
