Toronto Blue Jays bullpen confident for next season’s challenges – MLB Update
The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen is looking quite confident in this offseason that they combine will play a solid game in 2013 Major League Baseball season. Currently the Blue Jays have some fine relief pitchers in the roster who possess right abilities to
compete well in the next big event.
"That makes me cringe a little bit, We haven't done anything yet. I'd just as soon fly below the radar, and I know that can't happen when you acquire some name players and add to payroll and so forth," the Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said
in the media and explained with great detail.
"We generated more this past year. TV ratings were up, attendance was up," he said. "Sales, concessions, everything was up. One thing that Rogers has shown: They don't go looking to make a profit on this ballclub. I think it's strictly whatever we do make
it will be clawed back into the club."
The Blue Jays have some fine relief pitchers including Evan Crawford, Steve Delabar, Sam Dyson, Juan Abreu, Casey Janssen and Chad Jenkins. These all pitchers know their game well and in the coming season, their offensive plays might land some good victories.
Chad Jenkins was exceptional in the last Major League Baseball season as he achieved consistent numbers of 4.50 ERA along with 16 strikeouts and 1.34 WHIP.
Casey Janssen also pitched well and went with 2.54 ERA along with 22 saves, 67 strikeouts, and 0.86 WHIP. He is a good and talented player and also has good career numbers of 3.60 along with 31 saves, 290 strikeouts and 1.25 WHIP.
Jeremy Jeffress, who last played for the Kansas City Royals, signed with the Blue Jays in this offseason. Last season, he achieved good numbers of 6.75 ERA along with 13 strikeouts and 2.40 WHIP. His career stats are also consistent at 4.89 ERA along with
one save, 34 strikeouts and 1.78 WHIP.
Experts believe that the Toronto Blue Jays have a good unit of relief pitchers and hopefully they will perform with great thrust in the coming Major League Baseball season.
