Toronto Blue Jays greet Vladimir Guerrero’s arrival – MLB News
The Toronto Blue Jays management is happy with the arrival of Dominican Republic player Vladimir Guerrero. The management with its contented comments in the media is looking great to wish him a tremendous welcome into his new Major League Baseball team.
Jose Bautista, whose remarks about veteran Guerrero is more than appreciative as he is, “just a real shy, humble guy from a small town in the Dominican Republic.”
Baseball experts are speculating in the media that his calibre and the playing potential are as big as compare to any Hall of Famer achiever. On the other hand, he will also feel quite comfortable to meet his Dominican Republic’s player community in the
MLB.
In the meanwhile, the Jays’ talented and ace player Bautista further commented in the media that Guerrero’s presence in the roster will certainly make things more competitive for the team.
“He has power off the bench ... which is something we are lacking. He’s a great addition to this or any other team in the league. I’m surprised it took as long as it did for someone to sign him.” said Bautista, who is also playing well in this year’s season
and wants somebody who will also take some responsibility to lead this franchise into new heights.
Bautista added with more confidence, “I think he will be a productive player, and I think he didn’t sign that contract just to play this season, He will play with a chip on his shoulder, to play for next year and show everyone he can still play.”
Guerrero is talented Major League player and now will be playing for the Jays in 2012. His past experience playing with several franchises is positive factor for him where he always gave his best game.
The 16- year veteran and former Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles’ player, Guerrero certainly is a talented player and will be playing a key role for the Jays in near future.
His career hitting average is also consistent standing at .318 along with 449 homers, 1496 RBIs and .379 OBP.
