Toronto Blue Jays to decide new manager – MLB Update
Toronto Blue Jays’ management is taking all possible measures to bring a new manager in the side.
The Blue Jays’ front office have recently completed a mega deal with the Miami Marlins while now they are feeling extra pressure to install a good and experienced manager for a thrilling next Major League Baseball season.
Their former team manager John Farrell left the club for a same position in the Boston Red Sox franchise. It was a part of a deal that sent off Farrell into the Red Sox for next couple of seasons.
"I'm extremely excited to be returning to the Red Sox and to Boston," Farrell said in a statement on joining the Red Sox. "I love this organization. It's a great franchise in a special city and region, with great fans, and we want nothing more than to reward their faith in us."
The Red Sox fired their previous manager Bobby Valentine after he showed inconsistent results during the 2012 Major League Baseball season which brought the South Boston side much humiliation.
Red Sox General manager Ben Cherington has also said in the past on new manager Farrell’s arrival, “There’s a person who’s right for the Red Sox job in 2013 who isn’t right for another team’s job or who might not have been right for our job last year or the year before.”
Coming onto Blue Jays search for a new manager, sources say that they now want an experienced and renowned manager who will lead them into a fresh season.
Blue Jays’ confidence is high as they know that with the inclusion of several good players in the roster, they have quite a good chance to compete with top contenders of World Series next year.
The Blue Jays recently acquired three big players from the Miami Marlins. They have acquired star starter Mark Buehrle along with shortstop Jose Reyes and starting pitcher Josh Johnson.
All these players possess good averages and consistent playing record. Experts believe that this is a healthy sign as Blue Jays have acquired all these experience players as it will automatically increase their winning chances next season.
