FC Dallas head coach, Schellas Hyndman, revealed in a press conference on Tuesday, August 3, that Maicon Santos’ signature has been acquired and the player will be able to play for the team in the upcoming match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Los-Angeles-Galaxy-c39818.
Santos has been brought into the Toros from Toronto FC in a player exchange deal with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eric-Avila-c12695. The Brazilian import has expressed his excitement over the transfer.
“Dallas is very good,” Santos told the media. “It’s a new beginning for me coming from a team on the bottom to a team on top. I am excited to be a part of this team.”
His former team, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toronto-FC-c40744, reside at the eighth position in the Eastern Conference, whereas the new employers are second on the western side.
The huge difference in the rankings is simply because of the different style of play. The Reds have always played the defensive game, while the Texans play an attacking game, which was evident in the last season where the Hoops performed to the their best
and secured a berth in the MLS Playoffs.
“It’s exciting to have other teammates that know how to attack,” Santos said. “They know what to do with the ball.”
The player will be accompanied by other Brazilian players Jackson, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Villar-c31036. “That’s great to have teammates that know the Brazilian style of football,” Santos added.
Although Santos has netted 6 goals in the short period of time, his knack for finding the back of the net has won Hyndman’s attention, though it remains to be seen whether he takes to the pitch on Saturday against the Galaxy.
“We didn’t talk about anything yet,” Santos said. “I’m ready to start training with the team and go from there. I’m just excited to get out there.”
Prior to Toronto FC, he rendered his services at CD http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chivas-USA-c38798. The player has scored a combined total of 12 goals from 51 outings for Americans and the Canadians.
However, Hyndman is confident that Santos will be a good addition to the roster. “We are very excited that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maicon-Santos-c23160 is joining FC Dallas,” Hyndman said in the release.
The Brazilian striker brings a lot to the table and will certainly strengthen the team. The head tactician has introduced a new 4-1-4-1 diamond formation that will see only one striker upfront.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabian-Castillo-c13093 plays in the the U-20 FIFA World Cup, leaving only the Brazilian to fill the gap.
