Toronto Maple Leafs, Marlies sign forwards Mike Zigomanis, Will Acton and defenseman Dylan Yeo
Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies gave their roster and team some strength, depth when they re-signed their three main players from last season, Canadian forwards Mike Zigomanis, Will Acton and also signed free agent, Canadian defenseman Dylan Yeo
in a one-year deal.
The news was broken by senior National Hockey League (NHL) reporter, Toronto Star’s Kevin McGran when he tweeted about this news on his official twitter account, twitter.com/Kevin-McGran that,

Toronto Maple Leafs of NHL and Toronto Marlies of American Hockey League (AHL) have been trying to make their roster stronger as they had also signed defenseman Mark Fraser recently. And now they have signed their top-scorer from last season Mike Zigomanis,
a key defenseman Dylan Yeo from Oklahoma City Barons.
31-year-old Zigomanis is an experienced hockey campaigner, having a lot of NHL games as well. He has already played for five different NHL teams, Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and his current organisation, the
Toronto Maple Leafs.
North York, Ontario born player has done great in last two seasons by scoring 14 goals, 33 assists, and 47 total points in the 2010-2011 season and had an even better last season as he scored his highest score in last 12 seasons by getting 42 assists, 19
goals and 61 total points.
Amazingly, their other two signings forward Will Acton and defenseman Dylan Yeo were both on the same day as both celebrated their birthdays few weeks ago on 16th July. Yeo is one year older than Acton as they were born in 1986 and 1987 respectively.
The 6-foot-2, 190 pounder, Acton has been in Toronto’s team for few seasons now as he started his AHL career them two season back and has played 72 matches for them, scoring seven goals, nine assists and 16 total points.
However, on the other side, Dylan Yeo who is signed as a free agent played for Oklahoma City Barons last season and has been playing with different teams in different teams throughout his career as he has played in Western Hockey League (WHL), East Coast
Hockey League (ECHL) and AHL as well. Overall, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan born defenseman has played 102 games in AHL, scoring 7 goals, 20 assists and 27 total points.
