Toronto Molson Amphitheatre; are the seats elevated?

Do the seats go up, like are they elevated?

I got tickets for a concert and I'm far in the back section 402.

I'm wondering how the view will be.

Is it on a hill, like the further back you go the higher it gets?

  1. i just google image searched it and the pavillion seats look slightly elevated.  It actually looks pretty identical to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette pavillion which i visit frequently and you can just about see from anywhere.

  2. The name "Amphitheater" is dirived from ancient Rome and Greece meaning a stage that is surrounded by seating that gradually ascends.

I have seen several concerts at the Molson Amphitheater and the seating does exactly that... it gradually becomes elevated.  So you should have no problem seeing from your section.

  3. Yes, the seats are raised, and the farther back you are the higher you will be.  Sometimes such venues use TV screens so that the people in the back can also use those to get a better view.  Best of luck.
