Toronto - is it worth the extra $ to stay in Yorkville?

My husband and I are taking a weekend trip to Toronto. We have been there several times and always stay right off Yonge Street. However, as we get older (30), we're spending more time in Bloor/Yorkville. Our hotel option in the regular part of town would total $350 - $415 (inc. parking), and the hotel option in Yorkville totals $445. Do you think it's worth it to stay right down there, or should we just walk/cab it? Either way we want to spend time in both areas.

  1. Dont pay full price for a hotel in Yorkville. Use Hotwire.com for a good deal on it. You could get a 4 star for $100 a night. If you get it for a better price it would totally be worht it. You dont get to choose which hotel you are at and just the area it is in but as long as you are in Yorkville, does it matter? I use hotwire all the time for my family when they come to visit me in TO. Ive saved so much cash I cant even tell you. Have fun in the T.O
