Toronto vs Vancouver

Dont forget that Montreal is bigger then Vancouver ..

And Toronto is way more fun and urban then Vancouver , but for some reason Vancouver trys to be like Toronto lol Not Happening ... No Jobs in Van City and its tooooooooo boring

I am not born in Vancouver or Toronto, so I have no attachment to either location.  However, I have lived in both cities for several years and I can tell you that, in my humble opinion, Vancouver is by far a more livable and enjoyable city.

The reasons for my opinion are:

1) Vancouver's natural beauty, tall mountains and blue ocean,

2) Stanley park and seawall (there is no comparable park in the world)

3) Weather - Not as cold in winter and not as hot in summer

4) People - much friendlier out west

Of course, you are entitle to your opinion.

People People Relax......... Boy seems like you hit a sore spot with the people of Vancouver. I have lived in both cities myself and have to say I love Toronto alot better myself, but this is a subjective matter of opinion and I understand why some people like Van City more.

1)If you want to live in an urban environment Im sorry but Van does not compare to TO. There is alot more going on in Toronto, more culture, more theater, more Restaurants, there really is something for everyone which you cant completely say about Vancity.

2) I disagree with you that Van is trying to be like TO but you can tell they Envy Toronto just a little. Why do many people across Vancouver hate Toronto yet Torontonians really dont have a problem with any part of the country, its because they are a little bit jealous IMHO.

3) Someone said people in the west are much friendlier WRONG Ive lived in all 3 provinces in the West and there are no people more rude than the people of Alberta, Vancouver is a little better but not to be compared with Ontario in my experiance.

4) Comments like "hard to smile at anyone in Toronto through the smog and snow, Maple Leafs suck! We dont have to call the army in when it snows just prove my point of the hatred of Toronto and ignorance of some people. Yes the maple leafs suck but when they do win its going to be the hugest celebration Canada has ever seen. Vancouver canucks cannot even sell out every home game and I dont see them doing much better than the leafs. True fans cheer for their team no matter what not just when they are winning and TORONTO has true sports fans.

5) Weather, sry but Toronto has got it hear too, well if you like 4 seasons. Ontario in the fall is much more beautiful than any day of the year in BC. I happen to like snow alot better than rain because you dont get wet and its not so gloomy in Toronto year around.

All in All they are both great cities that are quite hard to compare because they are both their unique. Canada should be proud that we have both these cities which have some of the best quality of life in the world.

I was born and raised Torornto but moved to vancouver in 1985 and got to tell you.. I've never ever looked back.  The mountains, the ocean, the greenery, the wilderness on the doorstep,  the rare snow in the winter (we dont have to call out the army here when it did snow!!), the friendly people  (hard to smile in toronto thru the smog and the snow)

even the maple leafs suck harshly ...well maybe canucks give them a run for their money!

Honestly, Toronto is one of the best cities in the world and it is only going to get better. Did you know that right now there are over one million people looking to move to the city but there isn't enough room for them, that's why there are so many condos being built?
