Torrent seeding question.?

I've recently become a member of several 'high end' private torrent sites. Up until now I've mostly frequented mid range priv sites or priv sites with a large member base.

Now it seems like everyone and their mother has a seedbox, and I'm stuck with my 6 mb/s connection. Is there anyway I can set my torrent client to minimize downloading (IOW say 1 kb/s for downloads) and maximize uploading? (IOW as fast as possible.)?

I've attempted this before but whenever I cut my download speed my upload speed dies too.

Which client you are using? in utorrent you can set both separately.

And also it should not affect as Incoming and Outgoing frequency will be different.
