Torrents - how do I open the files if they aren't completely downloaded?

I have a movie 99,5% downloaded but for the last 2 days it's stopped and I cannot start it again. Is there a way to start the movie this way?

Sometimes they will play. You have to remove the file from the torrent software and try to play the file from the download folder. It will be a little glitchy, but should be tolerable at 99.5%.

Try playing the file in VLC media player. Since its 99.5% completed, it should play fine almost completely. If it gets stuck just skip some portion of the file.
