The Blues took on Barcelona in the semi finals of the Champions League and went on to win the first leg by one goal to nil.
In the second leg, Barcelona went on to score two early goals in the game and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 was shown a red card in the process.
However http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 went on to get one back for the team and as a result of that goal, Chelsea were leading on the away goals rule.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 half in the dying stages of the game and went on to shimmy past Victor Valdes, as he slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Due to Torres’ goal, Chelsea went on to win the tie by three goals to two, while drawing the second leg.
The team is now set to take on Bayern Munich, who beat Real Madrid via a penalty shoot out to make it to the finals themselves.
When talking about the upcoming game, Torres is quoted to have said: "To be in the Champions League final, obviously, is a dream come true for all the Chelsea players, for all the Chelsea supporters who come here and everyone watching the game at home"
"It's the second Champions League final for Chelsea. Everyone knows what happened in the past with the penalty shoot-out [in the 2008 loss to Manchester United].
"So, I think Chelsea deserved a second chance and we have the chance now."
The forward went on to admit that it was very hard for him to watch the match from the sidelines, but admitted that he was delighted to come on in the second half, to try and mix things up.
Going into the game, Chelsea will be the underdogs once again, considering the fact that the final is going to take place at the Allianz Arena, which just so happens to be Munich’s home ground.
It is now a wait to see just who win the prestigious European competition.
