  1. my parents went there 3 weeks ago and they had to wade in floods up to their knees, but most of the time it is a very nice place with a good market every saturday and really nice beach walks and beaches. There are plenty of ice cream shops there but I recommend you go to the one called SIRVENT (the best ice creams ever.)We have a holiday home nearby so follow my advice, I am actually going on the 25th of june for 5 days so the weather is said to be good.

10 points :D please please please

  2. see the resolved question on exactly this subject!

  3. There are 2/3 beaches, a boating lake in a small park, right in the centre of town and also a water park which is open at the height of the summer so lots of fun for kids. Other than that not much else in Torrevieja. The tourist information centre is right on the promenade so best to go there when you arrive, look for the big waterfall fountain and the tourist office is right there. If you sit on the front there to eat or drink you will be pestered by africans trying to sell you fake Gucci watches and sun glasses but then are usually very polite and you can get a bargain if you haggle. If you are trying to have lunch it can be a pain tho.

Watch your bag or wallet whilst on the beach etc, other than that have a good time

  4. hiya

Torrevieja is a like most people have said is quite English but also very Spanish, torrevieja is situated on the the Costa Blanca coast. This part of Spain has just been awarded a lot of blue flags for there beaches if you have kids the beach near playa flamenca has inflatable in the sea. Torrevieja has something for everyone there is lots of bars and restaurants (international, Spanish, Italian, fast food). There is an aqua park just on the out skirts called aquapolis.

Benidorm is only an hour and a half drive, Elche is only 30 minutes away if you want a bit of culture they have the largest palm trees in Europe with a museum on the subject, and in my opinion the best shopping either at the shopping centre, corte ingles or the city centre.

If you have any questions mail me and i will advise you the best i can.

    Hope this helps

  5. Full of English people, but normally always good weather. Not very Spanish. Don't know whereabouts you are staying but it's a very big area, like saying what's Birmingham like, so there's good and bad bits. If you're not in town might be an idea to hire a car, as Spanish public transport is rubbish. Good for families as it's a bit like home, only in the sun.
