Tortoise Identification?

I found what I think to be a Hermann's Tortoise. Any sites that I can refer to for tortoise identification? Any other small tortoises that look like a Hermann? I am outside of Sacramento CA

    Also check out the desert tortoise, the only tortoise that is native to California. Though Sacramento is a bit far North, there could be a chance of a released or escaped specimen.     Desert tortoises and Hermann's tortoises look very similar when they are hatchlings or still quite small.
