  1. They are fun 100 percent  ! i have one she is about 5  years old and little crazy she runs around and meows and acts silly  in the morning and evening but the rest of the time she loves to play ,sleep and clean my gf ( she licks ) when we pet her.  very friendly but she needs lots of attention she thinks we are her babys

  2. They are great! I like female in pairs. Nothing like sisters love.

  3. I love torties!!!  They always look like someone put a bunch of orange paint on a brush and flicked it at a black cat!!

However, being a cat rescuer, this is my opinion...don't 'buy' a cat from a pet store.  Go to your local shelter and save a life buy adopting a kitten.  Usually, unlike a pet store, the vet work, including spay/neuter on these kitties, is already done.  You especially want to know if the cat has tested negative for feline leukemia.  Pet stores don't do that, and you could end up with a terminally-ill kitten.

I don't know what the pet store is charging, but it's ridiculous to pay for a cat with no shots or other vet work when the same money would get one that does have it.  If you want a tortie kitten, go to www.petfinder.com and you will find hundreds.

  4. I adopted a brother sister pair and they are a 3 ring circus in my house.  They love everyone and everything but remember how you treat your cat will effect it's personality so the more touches and kisses means the same later on in life.

Best of luck and good for you for ADOPTING and NOT BUYING!!!  :-)

  5. yeah and they are cute to

  6. Torties are GREAT cats!  . . . that is, if you like crazy, energetic clowns!  Most everyone I know who has owned a tortie has named it "Gizmo" or "Superman" or "Wizard", or something that expresses the wacky personality of their happy cat.

BUT, be prepared for LOTS of energy, which is great fun when you want to be entertained, but torties can sometimes express their craziness and energy at inappropriate times, like dancing on your pillow when you're trying to sleep.  But if you love crazy, wacky clowns ~and they're highly interactive~ then a tortie is for YOU!

  7. 99% of the Torti cats I met are "queens" in their attitude and personality.  They make phenomenal one person cats, but often struggle with sharing the home with other pets, especially cats.  They also can be so one person oriented, that they don't like kids.  You might not be thinking about that now, but cats live a LOOOONG time.

If you truly want to find a cat that best fits into your home, look for an older kitten or young adult (or even older adult).  At that point you can see personality, you know if they like other pets, other people and how they will fit into your lifestyle.

When you get a kitten, you may not end up with the desired adult cat you truly want.  Worse, you may end up with an incompatible cat if your entire family (not just you) is not ready to make adjustments for her to fit in.
