Torturing terrorists?

Question

If we torture terrorists how is that violates our constitution and why is it be morally wrong?

If you explain these for me I will appreciate it.

If it doesn't happen within our borders, it does not violate the constitution. If torturing terrorists saves American lives, then it is not immoral.

We are in a fight for our lives, we need to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Torture yields no useful information. The CIA,NSA,DIA FBI and military all agree that it doesn't.  People will say anything to stop the torture.

Look at McCain. He broke under torture and gave lots of useless info.

Plus it give the enemy the moral right and the incentive to torture our guys.

But the problem is that the vast majority of detainees are innocent.  Bush says 70%, the Red Cross says 90%+.

We have and are torturing innocent people to get useless information.

they are humans too. we have no right to torture them. just because someone hits you, does that make it right for you to hit them back? no, not really. it all depends on what you think is right. head on over to vanityfair.com and watch christopher hitchen's video on waterboarding (he has it done to himself). it's wrong and inhumane.

our constitution does not address torture.in time of war sometimes drastic measures are needed.suppose in your home town they captured a terrorist,part of a group that had a dirty (nuke) bomb that could kill the entire area (over 50,000+) plus people.where would you want to start to get information.after hours of interrogation and no results,time to get serious...start with the genitals, finger nails or the eyes..........  yep,happens especially in the middle east and africa.
