Torvar Mirsky faces Johnie Berntsson in final of the 2011 Argo Group Gold Cup at Hamilton in Bermuda
Superb performances from Torvar Mirsky of The Wave, Muscat and Johnie Berntsson of Berntsson Sailing Team in the semi-finals have brought them together in the finals of 2011 Argo Group Gold Cup at Hamilton, Bermuda. Both teams showed excellent sailing skills
throughout the event and finally managed to hit the final spot.
The Wave, Muscat’s Mirsky faced New Zealand’s Phil Robertson of WAKA Racing in their semi-final races where Australian, Mirsky, whitewashed Robertson by the score line of 3-0. On the other hand, Berntsson was able to nudge Italy’s Francesco Bruni of Bruni
Racing by 3-1 in their semi-final encounters. Both, Mirsky and Berntsson will be in action against each other on October 10.
As far as the overall results are concerned, France’s Mathieu Richard of French Match Racing Team made it to the fifth spot in the championship while Jesper Radich’s Adrian Lee and Partners finished sixth in the standings. Meanwhile, top place in the overall
circuit standings is occupied by Great Britain’s Ian Williams of Team GAC Pindar with 90 points.
