Toshiba Satellite Media Laptop TV hiccups then...

Question

I use my laptop for TV and have for years. It is now studdering the signal and eventually freezes up the picture. It is only the tv option that freezes. I have defraged, removed programs, had the cable company come in to check their signal, and replaced the cable from the wall to the pc. Any suggestions of any other trouble shooting methods?
