Toshiba Satellite will not recognize Memory Stick...

Question

Hi - My laptop will not recognize the Sony Memory Stick Duo Adapter MSAC-M2. We are currently on vacation and trying to upload photos to our desktop. When we insert the adapter, the "e" drive pops up but says "insert disc into drive." If we use a "regular" memory stick, it works fine, but all of our photos are on the Memory Stick Pro Duo. Any help is appreciated.
