Toshiba TV Mod. TV32D60

My Toshiba TV Mod. TV32D60 has trouble turning on, must unplug and replug several times. Switch light flashes each time. Is this a switch problem or something more serious? If it is switch, can new switch be purchased and relaced by myself. Set is 14 years old but perfect picture. I'm asking you because you have made intelligrent reply to others.
Hope you can advise me. Thanks
