Toshiba dvd recorder..... help!!!!!!!!?

bought 1 of those hard disc recorders with a dvd recorder. thought id be able to down load the hard disc to a dvd then watch it on various players. the discs will only play on this machine. my laptop and other dvd player say the disc is empty.... whats all that about??????

sometimes its the opposite if its finalized it will not play in others

have you FINALISED it, if you havent then it will only play in the recording machine

Check that when you are dubbing from HDD to DVD that you are doing so correctly - look at the manual. It's easy to miss a step.

If you are then check that you are finalising correctly.
