Toshiba satellite pro u300 unexpected shutdown

Hi, I have a brand new Toshiba Satellite Pro U300 with Windows vista business edition. It is docked to an external monitor and keybord using a toshiba dynadock. My problem is, quite oftten it unexpectedly shuts down (maybe it hibernates or sleeps I don't know how to tell the difference) the point is, laptop screen shows a blue screen and after a few seconds both screens go black, the fan stops working, the hard disk does not indicate any activity and no matter what I press I cannot bring it back to active mode (the "on" light stays on). The only thing I can do is press the on button until it turns off and then restart it again. When I do so, it tells me windows had an error and starts on safe mode. I don't know if it has to do with the docking station or something, but it happens mostly every day and I lose all the data I was previously working on. Please could anyone tell me what is going on? Thank you
