Toshiba switching off!

Question

hi there,my computer has started turning itself off with no warning at all while i'm working on my computer!if i have it plugged in, with the battery in or just plugged in without the battery!its annoying because i cant rely on my computer now as i have essays to write. it gives NO warning....what can i do?i have been told its a hardware problem?how easy is this to fix?
