Total Faith has the confidence of bookmakers for the Grade A2 race at Hall Green – Preview
Total Faith will be the favourite greyhound to win the Grade A2, 480 metres Flat Race at Hall Green in England on Monday, February 13, 2012. The cash prize for winning the event is £122.
P. Wellon’s trained dog has been given a starting price of 15 to 8 for the race. He has got impressive speed, and has been doing extremely well at Hall Green. His last outing at the venue is a prime example of that, as he emerged victorious in it.
Total Faith was the joint favourite to win, when he raced here last time around. He did not disappoint the bookmakers, and stormed to a convincing victory. He broke swiftly at the start, and continued to press hard, taking a clear advantage over the
rest of the pack.
The black dog is expected to deliver a similar sort of result today as well. However, he will have to be at his best to dominate the proceedings. He is the son of Hades Rocket, out of A Mon Avis, and was born in August, 2009.
Another greyhound expected to do well today is Normandy Black, who has been awarded with a starting price of 3 to 1. He has been quite impressive over the past few months, but victories seemed to have dried up for him.
Normandy Black’s last race at Hall Green produced a decent result for him, as he finished runner up. However, his trainer would be expecting him to break the shackles this time around, and end up on top of the table.
The bettors would be interested in putting their money on the black dog, trained by P. Sallis. He is the son of Hondo Black, out of Droopys Lena, and was born in September, 2009.
Inky Squiggle will also enter the race with a starting price of 3 to 1. She has been performing consistently at Hall Green over the past couple of years. Her last race did not produce the desired results, but she still managed to finish third.
S. Buckland’s trained b***h will need to start well today in order to make an impression on the favourite greyhound. She has the ability to finish on top of the table, and the punters will be looking forward to invest some money on her.
The black b***h is the daughter of Westmead Hawk, out of Tipsy Tyone, and was born in June, 2008.
One of the least favourite for today’s race is Kilrush Leon, trained by J. Meek. He might not be expected to end up on top, but it does not mean that he lacks the speed and skill to match the best.
Kilrush Leon has been given a starting price of 9 to 2, and his last outing saw him finish at the top of the table. He is the son of Crash, out of Elton Princess, and was born in October, 2009.
Blue Scamp, trained by S. Buckland, has also been awarded with a starting price of 9 to 2. She has won three out of her last five races, and will not make life easy for the rest of the participants today.
The blue coloured b***h is the daughter of Westmead Hawk, out of Cabra Scamp, and was born in March, 2010.
Last but not the least is Marigold Echo, trained by B. Hall. She is a seasoned campaigner, and might use her experience to trouble the rest of the greyhounds. Her starting price for today’s event is 8 to 1.
Although the starting prices reflect that the best chances are of Total Faith, there might be an upset today, considering the quality of the runners.
