Total Rebellion to be aggressive in the Jenkinsons Caterers Beginners’ Chase
Stratford has brought together young potential in the form of the Class 3 Jenkinsons Caterers Beginners’ Chase which has attracted fourteen contestants who are four-year-old and above. The £5,198 prize money race is scheduled for Thursday, 1st November. A number of entries have been struggling to trade mark the way they perform, but have not yet reached the actual level.
The race today will serve as the grooming platform for many as the field of fourteen is quite very competitive.
One of the most exciting entries is the six-year-old bay gelding, Total Rebellion. His previous campaign was not as successful. However, his form in the current season is almost splendid besides the most recent outing.
The Donald McCain trained kick started the season with Play Casino At Betvictor.com Novices’ Handicap Hurdle on 17th January, 2012 at Ayr over two miles and four furlongs.
With jockey, Jason Maguire, onboard, the duo had the final two furlongs all to themselves, and there was hardly a hurdle among the eleven which could make the task challenging for them.
The Irish bay gelding defeated Harry Handsome by eight lengths.
Craigsteel’s gelding’s very next winning stop turned out to be the Happy 65th Birthday Eric Ingram Handicap Hurdle on 4th March, 2012 at Sedgefield over three miles and 3 ½ furlongs.
The additional two hurdles did not see him compromising on the top ranking, but the margin by which he landed the race diminished to three lengths. For a straight second time, the six-year-old, Total Rebellion, out of, Hil Rhapsody, made the most out of the riding expertise of the jockey, Jason Maguire.
The race was not as effortless as the previous one. The bay gelding had not picked up tempo even when the race was down to the last four furlongs. They rode in hard during the concluding furlongs, and defeated Oniz Tiptoes to the second position.
Total Rebellion’s winning form wavered in the Betfred “Bonus King” Handicap Hurdle on 31st March, 2012 at Uttoxeter over three miles.
The distance and the ground conditions are favourable for him, however the jockey this time is, Henry Brooke.
