Total Respect needs to grip the form firmly in order to claim the Stadium Bookmakers Stayers Trophy

The Stadium Bookmakers Stayers Trophy will be staged at Nottingham over 680 metres flat on Monday, 30th July. The £200 prize money has attracted Total Respect, Conkon, Vinnies Contesse, Ballymac Sally, Imperial Boy and Movealong Tina.
The line-up that is ready for taking the challenge tonight has not been able to achieve anything near success since quite a while with the exception of the two-year-old, Total Respect.
The two-year-old black b***h made the most out of her first four outings by lining all of them up as success stories. There is only one race that falls under the 2011 calendar as all her racing attempts after that were in the following year, 2012.
Droopys Scolari’s daughter won a 462 metres race at Kinsley on 14th January. Being the first one to lead and then racing from the middle got her the race in 28.30 seconds while winning by the margin of good ten lengths.
After striking the four races, Total Respect’s performance curve took a downward turn as winning a race after that became an almost impossibility. The lack of conviction and confidence in the next two races led her to two training sessions over 420 metres
at Peterborough.
The two-year-old black b***h out of, Hayling Lass, won the second outing after the training session and after that followed a highly unfortunate series of failures that took on the next five races.
The 650 metres work out on 30th June, 2012 at Kinsley led to the success in the very next race. She won the Grade HP 650 metres flat on 7th July, 2012 at Kinsley. She was not prominent throughout the race but what got her through the
wire before the rest was the impressive finishing.
The J. Scott trained won the race in 40.50 seconds and led by two lengths.
The two-year-old black b***h then took charge of the Owlerton Bookmakers Super Stayers on 24th July, 2012 at Sheffield over 720 metres. Total Respect became the first one to lead after breaking from the second gate. She timed the track distance
in 43.52 seconds and defeated the runner-up, Magna Sparrow, by a length.
