  1. Most adults have approximately 2–3 × 10^13 red blood cells at any given time, however those living at higher altitudes tend to have more to deal with the lower oxygen pressures in the atmosphere.

There are about 2.3 x 10^10 –6.2 x 10^10 white blood cells in the human body. It varies depending on circumstances. If you were fighting off an infection there would be more white blood cells in your body as compared to a healthy person with no disease.

Platelets, which are also in the body are made up of broken cells, so I'm not sure if you want these included.

  2. Sounds like a trick question.  The cells of the blood consist of the red cells, the white cells and the platelets.  All the cells have limited life spans in the circulation and are constantly renewed.  They are mainly produced in the bone marrow.  The red cells live in the circulation for 100 to 120 days.
