Question:

Total coincidences, or premonitions?

Lots of the time I have dreams that actually come true the next day. It's really weird. Like, I'll have a dream about somebody who I haven't spoken to in ages, and then the next day they'll get in contact with me. Sometimes it's more serious. Like a few weeks ago, I dreamt that somebody with blonde hair had skin cancer (but I didn't know who). Then the next day my friend told me that her sister (who has blonde hair) had just been diagnosed with skin cancer. She hadn't mentioned anything about it to me before.

I've had more prediction dreams too, like I dreamt my boyfriend broke up with me, and when I woke up the next day we had a massive argument (but luckily didn't break up).

Why does this keep happening to me? Is it just a total subconscious coincidence? Because I've NEVER believed in predicting the future before.

  1. I'm not the type to really believe in predictive dreams, outside of the idea that intuitively we might pick up on some things that could end up in are dreams that seem portentous. But I'm also not someone to discount it either, or at least the idea that maybe this could have some function for you.

I would keep a dream journal and see if any patterns occur. What would be especially beneficial is to keep a regular journal and dream journal and see if there are any connections. Eventually you might be able to make some connections or understand this better. Then you'll be able to determine for yourself whether these are coincidences or premonitions.

  2. ha ha ha oh you could convince your self of anything.

you dreamt you and your b/f broke up, but you never ?? and they day before there was no hint that you was having problems, was he in a mood was he sulking, you could of easy picked up on his mood then in your dreams let out your fear you would break up.

your friends sister with skin cancer are you sure she never mentioned her sister was going for tests can you be sure you never  heard her on the phone talking about it ??.

oh you dream of people then the next day they contact you, that sounds good un-till you turn it around and say but how many people do you dream of that don't contact you the next day, fay more that don't than do.

the fact is you have as many as 200 dreams in one night so sure some are going to come true, something happens and you think omg i dreamt this, but the truth is you just dreamt something like it and your sub brain is making it fit into one of your dreams, they are just dreams nothing more

  3. Just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean it doesn't happen.  We all have psychic abilities but most people don't acknowledge them or just dismiss them as coincidences. I would imagine that if these are happening regularly you will become more and more aware of your heightening intuition and will begin to sense things, peole's moods, which I think you are already good at. You will ask someone what's wrong before they even say something is. You will sense what people are going to say next and things like that. You can develop these abilities if you choose, its exciting stuff.

  4. Sounds like premonitions, my friend. Start writing your dreams down to study them more closely. Don't block them away, they happen for a reason, and you are very gifted if these are real.

  5. some are 'sheer' coincidence

although i dreamt my aunt who had been dead 8 yrs wasnt very happy & was packing a suitcase

next day post landed on my mat & my unle had sent a wedding invitation...total shock!! but sure it was a coincidence

  6. I'm going with premonitions.
