I had an accident and I will have to fix my car as well as fix the other persons car. Will what I have to pay to fix the other persons car be a factor in them deciding whether to do total loss for my car?

  1. The damages to the other car have nothing at all to do with your car.  Each is based on it's own


  2. No, repairs to the other car have nothing to do with whether your car gets totaled or not.

  3. not sure but if you look at your policy it should state how much they will pay for an accident  collision and i don't think it will have anything to do with your car you will however have to pay the deductible

  4. Not to clear about your question but here goes: damages to the other vehicle have no bearing on the damages to your own. A vehicle is determined to be a total by the state when costs to repair exceed the value of the car.
