Total resistance question?

Are the total resistance between these 2 circuits equal?Why or why not? Thanks! I am confused. This might popup in my examination on friday.thanks.

  1. They are equal. Same circuit drawn 2 different ways.

Think of it this way.  If the component is connected by a line to any other component, the ends of both components are electrically the same point, meaning they will show the same value.  So, if I add more lines and all of the components are still touching at the same places, then they will still have the same electric point.  If that doesn't make sense, msg me and I will try to clarify.
